I suspect it’s getting used to having the feature elsewhere and then missing it rather than it being a ‘necessary’ change. Personally, I’ve never felt the urge to touch my Mac screen and I actually get pathetically upset if anyone else does.
I wouldn’t want to pay any more to have this feature. But then again it would probably cure me of my fingerprintphobia. 🤷♂️
